Nature Park, Haddo

The largest park in Port Blair by area, formerly the city's mini zoo, now a Forest Department-run showcase of the Andaman Islands' native flora and fauna.

A butterfly observatory, orchid & fern greenhouse, and a treehouse cafe with hilltop sea views make this a genuinely worthwhile couple of hours.

Getting There: Prem Nagar, Haddo, near Ambika Residency — about 3km from the city centre, next to Haddo Jetty and the Samudrika Naval Marine Museum.
Entry: A nominal entry fee applies (around ₹30), with an additional charge for cameras.
Best Time: October to March, and sunny days when the flowers are in bloom.
